I lead delivery and quality, and I build the tools.
I've led QA and delivery at BuzzFeed and HuffPost, working with product and engineering from requirements through release. My team tested mobile apps on iOS and Android and moved from hand-checked releases to automated tests that AI helps write.
How I got here
I started as an intern at ESPN with no idea what QA was. I learned the work on the job, led projects at ESPN and MLB Advanced Media, and went on to lead QA teams at BuzzFeed and HuffPost.
Along the way I taught myself engineering. I had never opened a terminal. Now I set up my own dev environment, work in GitHub, and build and deploy projects with Claude.
My goal is to own the AI-powered QA infrastructure a team runs on, so routine changes don't wait in an engineering queue. This site is part of that: I designed it and built it with Claude.
How I work
- QA decides what ships. AI can draft the tests. A person with risk judgment approves them.
- Effort follows risk. Test generation limits are set by what a failure would cost.
- One lane to release. A single delivery path keeps ownership clear.
- Quality starts at planning. I work with product owners and engineering managers from requirements through release, not only at the testing step.
- I learn by building. I pick up new tools quickly and learn on the job. I went from never opening a terminal to shipping this site, a full ordering app, and AI testing agents.
- I fix the process, not just the bug. Release checklists, test management, and Jira epics came from tracing problems back to how work moved from idea to release.
Experience
Senior Engineering Manager, QA
- Led a QA team building AI-powered automated test generation.
- Set the strategy for mobile test automation on iOS and Android, built on Appium, Java, and TestNG.
- Directed a toolchain of Bitrise CI/CD, the LambdaTest device cloud, and GitHub Copilot as the approved LLM.
- Moved the team from manual card testing to nightly smoke suites.
- Raised the HuffPost app's store rating from 2.20 to 3.75 in six months with a new QA and release process.
- Designed the quality assistance model that lets engineering teams test their own work with QA's tools.
- Saved $134,000 by ending an outside testing contract and moving automated and manual device testing to a new vendor, LambdaTest.
- Managed vendor contracts and the contractor budget, and built a QA team across New York, Ukraine, and Argentina.
Add ESPN (intern, then project lead) and MLB Advanced Media, with titles and dates, and any other earlier roles.

About this site
It's plain HTML, CSS, and a little JavaScript, with no framework and no build step. I designed and wrote it with Claude, host it on Vercel, and deploy it from GitHub whenever I commit a change.
